Mostakbal Misr Water Transfer Project
Project Overview:
Mostakbal Masr is a national project that aims to deliver 10 million m3 per day of irrigation water from the Rasheed Nile branch to the west of the ring road and the west of the Sheikh Zayed City. The path stretches along 41.4 kilometers starting at Rasheed branch.
This initiative supports the state’s plan to develop new urban communities and agricultural areas, aligning with Egypt’s Vision 2030 for integrated and sustainable development. It implements presidential directives to the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation to optimize the use of water resources in the western Delta region. This project aims to reclaim and cultivate 1 million acres north and south of the Dabaa axis and in the Mostakbal Misr (New Delta) area. previously located on the site.
Key Components:
The project consists of the following key components:
- 12 Pipelines with a 2500 mm diameter and a total length of approximately 310 km.
- Open channel with a length of 16.24 km.
- 6 Pumping stations (2 + 12 units).
- 5 Water crossings, 3 Weirs, and 3 Car Bridges.
- An aqueduct and a chamber to convert the path from a channel to pipes.

ECPC’s Scope of Work:
ECPC is a key supplier of prestressed concrete pipes (PCCP) for this large-scale project, collaborating with the following contractors:
- Al Huda Nabawi for Contracting & Construction Company: Supplying 43,000 meters of PCCP.
- El Saeed For Contracting & Real Estate Investment Co. – SCCD: Supplying 12,500 meters of PCCP.
- Abu Zoor For Contracting: Supplying 550 meters of PCCP.
ECPC will provide a total of 56,000 meters of large-diameter (2,500 mm/12 bars) PCCP pipes and special fittings, with the potential to increase production to 65,000 meters to meet project needs. This represents approximately half of the project’s total pipeline length. ECPC has completed approximately 92% of its scope of work.
